Privacy policy

1. Who we are

Kairos is a private tool operated by David Comas (Comas Industries), Barcelona, Spain. It turns long videos from our own YouTube channels into short clips, publishes them to those channels and shows how they perform. Contact: davidcomasmendez@gmail.com.

Kairos uses YouTube API Services. By connecting a YouTube channel to Kairos you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's handling of your data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.

2. Google user data we access

Only for the YouTube channels connected to Kairos by their owner, and only through these permissions:

• Channel details (youtube.readonly): channel name, picture and ID; the list of the channel's own uploads with their titles, publish dates, duration and privacy status.
• Uploads (youtube.upload): the ability to upload a new video to the channel, with its title, description, tags and publish time.
• Analytics (yt-analytics.readonly): aggregated reports about the channel's own videos, such as views, watch time, audience retention, traffic sources, search terms, and aggregated audience data (age group, gender, country, device).
• Revenue (yt-analytics-monetary.readonly): estimated revenue and revenue per thousand views for the channel's own videos.

Kairos does not access the Google account's email, contacts, files or any other Google service, and never sees the account password.

3. How we use it

• To upload the clips the channel owner has approved, at the time they chose.
• To confirm that a scheduled clip was published and to show the owner which channel is connected.
• To show the owner a private dashboard with their channel's analytics and revenue, and to rank which clips to publish next based on how the channel's past videos performed.
• To classify the topic of the channel's own videos, the titles of those videos are sent to Anthropic's Claude service. No other Google user data is sent to any third party.

Google user data is used only to provide these features to the owner of the connected channel. It is not sold, not shared for advertising, not used to build profiles of anyone, and we do not use it to develop, improve or train general artificial intelligence or machine learning models.

4. Storage and security

The authorization token of each connected channel and the cached reports are stored on a private server at the operator's home in Spain. The server is not reachable from the public internet (only through a private encrypted network), and the files that hold tokens are readable only by the administrator. Tokens are never shown in the app's interface or logs.

5. Retention and deletion

• Reports obtained from YouTube are refreshed regularly; anything not refreshed for 30 days is deleted automatically.
• When a channel is removed from Kairos, its token and all its stored reports are deleted immediately.
• You can also revoke Kairos' access at any time from your Google Account security settings, at myaccount.google.com/permissions. After a revocation, Kairos can no longer refresh the channel's data, and what it had stored is deleted within 30 days.

6. Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with its effective date.
